Luigi Rebuffi

Founder and Secretary General, Women4Cyber Foundation & Founder and Secretary General, European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO)

Graduated in Nuclear Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, he initially worked in Germany on the high power microwave systems for ITER thermonuclear fusion reactor. From 2012 to 2016 he was an advisor to the European Commission for the EU Security Research Programme and President of the Steering Board of the French ANR for security research. In 2016 he founded ECSO and signed with the European Commission the PPP on cybersecurity. In 2019 he launched Women4Cyber to promote the participation of women in cybersecurity.

Nina Olesen

Women4Cyber COO & Head of Sector at the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO)

Nina Olesen is Head of Sector at ECSO which she helped establish in 2016 and which is today the unique European public-private organisation focusing on cybersecurity and offering a 360° view on the rapid evolution of the digital environment. Nina is responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities related to WG3 on ‘Cyber Resilience of Economy, Infrastructure, and Services’ and WG5 on ‘Education, Training, Cyber Ranges, and Human Aspects’, including overseeing ECSO’s Women4Cyber and Youth4Cyber initiatives.

Saskia Brugman Garcia-Abril is the Operational Coordinator at the Women4Cyber Foun-dation. She joined W4C in 2020, in her current position she manages the projects and day-to-day operations of the Foundation and works on cybersecurity awareness and ed-ucation issues with a gender perspective. Before joining Women4Cyber, she worked at non-profits in Lebanon and Spain pursuing societal transformations.

Verena Becker is a trained lawyer specialized in cybersecurity law and certified information security and data protection manager. She is policy officer in the Austrian Economic Chamber which represents more than 540.000 Austrian businesses. Encouraging women in the field of cybersecurity is a main concern of her and she is therefore cofounder and president of the Austrian chapter of Women4Cyber.
