About The project

DIVERSIFAIR is a pioneering three-year Erasmus+ project (2023-2026) that promotes intersectional fairness in and for AI systems. Our mission is to make AI fairer and more inclusive by developing educational resources for both technical and non-technical audiences. DIVERSIFAIR’s official information sheet can be found on the Erasmus+ project results platform.

INTERSECTIONAL FAIRNESS IN THE CONTEXT OF AI SYSTEMS

Intersectional fairness in AI is a holistic framework to understand and address the harms experienced by individuals due to the intersecting and often marginalised aspects of their identity. These harms, often based on compounding AI biases, lead to disproportionate disadvantages in AI-driven decisions.
