SheSpeaksCyber Initiative Launches to Increase Female Representation on Cybersecurity Stages.
Women4Cyber, in collaboration with Secure Practice, is proud to announce the launch of SheSpeaksCyber – a new initiative created to increase the visibility and participation of women as speakers in cybersecurity events across Europe.
Despite progress in the industry, women remain significantly underrepresented on conference stages. SheSpeaksCyber directly addresses this by providing a dedicated platform where event organisers can easily discover and connect with female cybersecurity professionals.
The prototype is already live at shespeakscyber.org, with speakers from across Europe actively being onboarded. The full platform will launch by the end of 2025, offering advanced filters such as topic expertise, language, availability (in-person or virtual), and paid/unpaid engagement options.
Secure Practice’s co-founder Erlend Andreas Gjære believes simplicity is key to driving change. “By simplifying the process of finding and booking speakers, we aim to achieve 50 percent female representation at cybersecurity events by 2030”. SheSpeaksCyber is more than a directory, it is a movement. “At Women4Cyber, we know there is an incredible number of female experts and speakers in cybersecurity. But we also recognise that we speak from a privileged position, event organisers come to us regularly asking for recommendations. Not everyone has that access. SheSpeaksCyber is our way of opening that door. We want every organiser to be able to easily find brilliant women in our community, and for those women to feel confident and comfortable stepping onto the stage” mentions Saskia Brugman, Strategic Partnerships and Activities Coordinator from Women4Cyber Foundation
Visit shespeakscyber.org to sign up for the waitlist, whether you are a speaker or an event organiser, and be notified as soon as the full service launches.
