Junior Marketing and Communication

 

We are looking for our next junior communications manager! 

The Women4Cyber Foundation is offering a challenging and interesting full-time junior position with real development opportunities in order to help carry out its activities. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direct supervision of the W4C COO and Strategic Coordinator, you will implement and carry out the communications and marketing strategy of the Women4Cyber Foundation. You will provide support to content-based communication, fundraising/promotional activities, and event organisation. 

  • Initial: 1-year contract 
  • Location: Brussels (hybrid; 1-2 days remote/week)  
  • Starting Date: May 2024 (as soon as possible) 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Communication: work on the Foundation’s communication & marketing strategy (including tracking of KPIs and reporting to management on the strategy); create engaging content (visuals, captions, blog posts) and targeted campaigns for W4C activities, partnerships and projects; manage social media channels; draft monthly and bi-monthly newsletters; regularly update the Foundation’s website.

  • Event management: support the preparation of Women4Cyber internal and external events and meetings (book venues, deal with logistics arrangements, prepare material under supervision); prepare minutes of meetings; create slides for internal and external events.

  • Ad-hoc tasks: reply to general emails coming from the W4C community; support internal communication; help identify fundraising opportunities or partnerships

REQUIREMENTS:  

Background:

  • Strong background or experience in communications and marketing. Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field is a plus.
  • Ideally 1 to 2 years of experience in a communications or marketing role and in a European/international environment.
  • Experience with managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube).
  • Interest in cybersecurity policies & initiatives is a plus.

Skills:  

  • Excellent English verbal & written communication skills are required, as well as quick, clear and concise drafting and reporting skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, detail-oriented person able to work under strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Creative mind-set with a passion for digital communications. 

Visual design and IT skills:  

  • Proficiency in video editing software and design tools such as Canva and/or other graphic design tools.
  • Knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in working with WordPress.
  • Advanced use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). 

Experience in fundraising and stakeholder engagement is a strong plus.

The candidate must be an EU/EEA citizen or in possession of a valid work permit to work in Europe. 

 

WHAT WE OFFER: 

  • A full-time position in an exciting and rapidly growing environment. 
  • 12 months CDD renewable once, with possibility to be extended to a CDI. 
  • Gross salary in line with similar positions in Brussels, also depending on your experience and background.

Projects Assistant

The Women4Cyber Foundation offers a challenging and interesting full-time (remunerated) traineeship position with real development opportunities to help carry out its activities. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Women4Cyber, with support from Google.org, is carrying out a project aimed at empowering women in cybersecurity across Europe, providing a scholarship and wraparound support to 1000 women pursuing the Google Cybersecurity Career Certificate on Coursera. Our goal is to ensure that at least 90% of the learners secure job opportunities post-Certificate. The Programme will run across five countries: France, Spain, UK, Greece, and Ukraine. 

  • Initial 6-month traineeship 
  • Location: Brussels (hybrid; 1-2 days remote/week)  
  • Starting Date: May 2024 (as soon as possible) 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a trainee, you will be instrumental in supporting this impactful project. Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting with learners’ onboarding and tracking. 
  • Engaging learners and monitoring their progress. 
  • Helping to coordinate the recruitment of mentors, project activities and communications. 
  • Organising webinars and networking events. 
  • Supporting the daily management of the mentorship platform and scheduling online sessions. 
  • Replying to enquiries from ongoing learners and mentors. 
  • Monitoring project KPIs and reporting to the project lead. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven interest in or previous exposure to cybersecurity and/or gender-inclusive policies & initiatives. 
  • Strong communication and organisational skills. 
  • Excellent English verbal & written communication skills. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is a plus. 
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and work under strict deadlines. 
  • IT skills: Advanced use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), knowledge of Canva and/or other graphic design tools is a plus. 
  • EU/EEA citizen or in possession of a valid work permit to work in Europe. 

WHAT WE OFFER:
