The majority of small and medium-sized enterprises are active users of IT. A prevalent trend is the vulnerability of businesses to cyber-attacks, leading to financial losses and reputational damage. This susceptibility is often due to inadequate cybersecurity measures, staff shortages,lack of skills and other cyber resilience issues.
(In response to the growing need for cyber security measures, Vilnius University, together with partners from seven European countries, is implementing the 3-year CyberAgent project.
The main objective of the CyberAgent project is to create a platform for the development of cybersecurity and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills. The target audience of the project is employees of small and medium-sized organisations, higher education institutions and vocational training institutions that can apply the training material in their own activities. )
To address the increasing demand for cybersecurity measures, Vilnius University, in collaboration with partners from seven European countries, is currently implementing the three-year CyberAgent project. The primary goal of the CyberAgent project is to establish a platform for enhancing cybersecurity knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship. The project is designed to benefit employees of small and medium-sized organizations, higher education institutions, and vocational training institutions, enabling them to apply the training materials in their respective endeavors.
The project foresees a research study which will be used as a basis for the development of training materials for vocational and higher education students. The programme will provide training for employees of small and private organisations, with a particular focus on the involvement of women. Furthermore, the project also promotes cooperation and the sharing of good practices on cyber security practices between higher education institutions, vocational training providers, small and medium-sized enterprises and organisations.
The CyberAgent project was launched earlier this year, in July, and was carried out remotely. On October 3rd and 4th, representatives of all project partners attended a meeting at the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University to discuss the next content development activities, the achievement of the set objectives, the dissemination of the project, the challenges of cyber security issues and many other project activities.
